Although the number of exciting opportunities in Dubai is growing on an almost daily basis, the most impressive locations in which to purchase must still be the on the Palm Islands. |
It must be said, that being on the island does not actually give you a proper sense of scale, and makes it a little difficult to fully appreciate the project. However from atop of one of the skyscrapers in Dubai Marina, or the Burj Al Arab Hotel you will be presented with what must be one of the most impressive vistas available, and will provide you with the the perfect elevation to fully comprehend the sheer size of the island.
The Jumeirah Palm Island, which is now completed with many projects now obtaining their occupation licences is the first of these awe-inspiring engineering feats to be completed. It is fully appreciating the scale of the project that is the difficult from the pictures, however if the rock and sand were used to build a 2.5 M high wall, it would encircle the planet three times. The Jumeirah Palm has added a further 25 Square kilometres of new land, and when the remaining two palms are completed, will have added a further 500 Km of new coastline to Dubai.
As UPA's Dominic Daniels explains, whilst there has been some bad press about construction delays with the project, it is no small wonder when you consider the scale of the task in hand. To build the largest man-made island in the world, which is visible from space, was never going to be completed early. However some additional time in construction has seen some smart investors achieve returns in excess of 200% on their properties. Not a bad little earner for those who had the foresight to get in early on this marvel of modern construction.
Of course, why stop with three record breaking Islands, when you can have over 300 islands forming The World. Or how about the new Dubai Waterfront development, a new construction feet which could swallow all three of the palm islands...if its record breaking, marvellous constructions that you are after then Dubai really does have it all.
